Stand-Up Paddleboarding (SUP)

Come join us in the fastest growing water sport in the world! Whether you are an experienced paddler, converted kayaker or newbie, we can get you started. No minimum skill level is needed to have fun from the very first stroke. You don’t need Eskimo-rolling skills or self-rescue classes. Just some basic paddling instruction and tips on standing up, and you’re ready to go flat-water cruising on your own on local lakes.

We do recommend a little more experience and instruction before tackling salt water on your own. Our goal is to provide safe and enjoyable paddling for all levels of recreational users. We offer boards and equipment for sale, rentals by the hour or day, lessons and guided tours, as well as paddling and surfing advice.

Lessons and Tours

During the summer, guided tours are offered 5 days per week, at locations to be announced. Lessons will be provided as part of these 2-3 hour tours. Private lessons (two person minimum) can be scheduled with 48 hours notice.

Paddle Sizing

Here's a good rule of thumb for finding the ideal paddle length. When holding the paddle next to you, the top of the shaft should measure six inches above your head. If your paddle still needs to be sized or needs the handle attached, follow these instructions:

  • Purchase some two-part epoxy. You can find it in your local drug or hardware store; the kind that comes in a syringe works well.
  • Cut the paddle two inches shorter than the desired finished length (because the handle is two inches).
  • Smooth the cut edge with sandpaper (be careful because carbon splinters are painful).
  • Mix a small amount of two-part epoxy and wet both the inside of the shaft and the part of the outside of the handle to be inserted into the shaft.
  • Insert the handle.
  • Wipe off any excess and allow to dry.
